A Sad Accident: Friday afternoon, about three o'clock, while Dick Ramsey's little 12 year old girl, Julia, was kindling a fire in the stove, her clothing caught fire and before her mother could extinguish the flames the child was burned so badly about the body and face that she died about 9:30 that night. Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey reside one-half mile north of town and are good people and their many friends are grieved to hear of this sad occurrence and sincerely sympathize with them in this sad hour of trouble. #2. Washburn News: Julia Ramsey, the little 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ramsey died at the home of her parents, Friday night, Oct. 4, from the effects of a burn. She was fixing the fire and her clothing caught and was burned off before she could be rescued from the flames. She was buried at the Corinth Cemetery Saturday. The family have the sympathy of the community. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. P. H. Hodge, Saturday, afternoon, and the remains laid to rest in the Corinth Cemetery. Washburn Review. |
