Text | #1. Fred Ramey, a highly respected young man of near Seligman, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1914 of typhoid fever, following 21 days sickness. The deceased was born in Milan, Sumner Co., Kansas, March 23, 1890. Some years ago he came to this county with his parents who settled on Butler east of Seligman. He was married to Grace Collier, daughter of Thomas Collier of near Seligman, on Nov. 14, 1913. Besides a young widow he leaves an infant daughter, father, mother, one sister and a brother and other immediate relatives to mourn his death. He was devoted to his home and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his acquaintance. The funeral services were held at Seligman Wednesday of last week in charge of Rev. J. T. Brattin. His body was laid to rest in the Seligman Cemetery. #2. Seligman News: Fred Ramey, east of town, quietly passed away Tuesday of last week. The remains were laid to rest in the Seligman Cemetery. Mr. Ramey was a young man of good habits and had a bright future before him. His loss to the community will be felt by his friends and neighbors. |
