| Text | Services for Dorothy Elgin Raney, 72, Wichita, Kansas, a former Cassville resident who died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 1985, at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, after suffering an apparent stroke, were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Williamson Chapel. Rev. Walter Smart officiated. Burial was in Washburn Prairie Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Mrs. Raney was born July 6, 1913, at Joplin. She lived in the Washburn and Cassville areas before moving to Wichita in 1950. She was a member of the Washburn First Baptist Church. She married. V. T. Raney on February 6, 1954, at Wichita. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Tina Crawford, Fernando Beach, Florida; three sisters, Marie Chadd, Washburn, Virginia McNabb, Exeter, and May Allison, Fort Smith, Arkansas; and two grandchildren. |
