| Text | Beatrix "Trix" May (Smith) Priest, 91, of Barry County died March 14, 2002, in Springdale. She was born Jan. 11, 1911, in Purdy, Mo., to Lula A. and Thurman O. Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville, Mo., and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Celestia Chapter 81 and a member of the Silver Leaf Club. She was a florist and owned and operated Smith Florist in Cassville for several years. She retired from the business in 1970. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Morton, and her second husband, W. E. Smith. Survivors include her husband of Chesapeake, Va.; two sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery in Butterfield, Mo. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. |
