| Text | Robert Earl "Bob" Preddy, age 85, of Cassville, died Monday, August 23, 2004, at his home in Barry Co., MO. Mr. Preddy was born August 20, 1919 in Cassville, the son of Tom and Beulah (Sanders) Preddy. Bob was united in marriage to Georgia Cummons and to this union five children were born. On Sept. 9, 1963 in Berryville, AR, he was united in marriage to Virginia (Carnes) Reed and to this union one child was born. Bob grew up and received his education in Cassville. He served in the United States Army/Air Corp. In 1951 he moved to Michigan where he was employed by General Motors. He returned to Cassville in 1963. He and his parents owned and operated Preddy's Grocery. He also co-owned and operated Cassville Tool and Machine Shop, Cassville Tool Service and Preddy's United Cars. He was a member of Butterfield Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, three sons, three daughters, 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia; his parents; and three brothers, George, T. J. and Gerald Preddy. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday Aug 26, 2004, in Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Neeley and Pastor Bobby Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in the Horner Cemetery, Cassville. |
