| Text | Sarah Ellen Corley was born Sept. 18, 1865. Died at her home west of Exeter, Missouri, August 9, 1934, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and nine days. She came to Missouri, about fifty years ago. She was united in marriage to James Powell, in April 1885. To this union four children were born, three daughters and a son. The son and one daughter, with the father preceded her in death some years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joe Hooten and Mrs. John Laney, also by one sister, Mrs. Bob Lee and sixteen grand-children and four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Ridgley Baptist Church, on Friday afternoon, August 10, 1934, by the Rev. Chas. McNabb, assisted by Chas. Vanzandt. Burial was in the Concord cemetery, under direction of the Barr-Blankenship Funeral Directions.
