| Text | Milton D. Poor was born in Hart County, Kentucky, February 17, 1860. He moved to Newton County, Missouri with his parents, William E. Poor and Cynthia Poor, in the year 1869. After the death of his mother in November 1911, he lived alone on the old home place near Muncie Chapel, two miles north of Wheaton. After a few weeks of suffering he passed out of this life on the evening of June 14, 1929 at Neosho, Mo. He leaves one brother, Wm. Poor, four sisters, Mrs. Safronia Frank, Mrs. Ellen Johnson, Mrs. Nora Harrison, Mrs. Ad? Williams and a number of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Rev. Goodnight conducted the funeral services at Muncie Chapel June 14, 1929, and the body laid to rest in the Muncie Cemetery under the direction of the Belka and Wessell Funeral Home, Wheaton, Mo. |
