Text | Services for Colman B. Pippin, 91, lifetime resident of the Washburn area, who died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home following a long illness, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Axley's Culver Funeral Home, Cassville. The Rev. Robert Scott officiated. Burial was in King's Cemetery, south of Washburn. Mr. Pippin was born March 3, 1887, in Barry County. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Chloe (Roller) Pippin, whom he married Aug. 27, 1911, near Washburn; two sons, Floyd Pippin, Seligman, and Lawrence Pippin, Fairbanks, Alaska; three daughters, Mrs. Cochrane, Garfield, Ark., Mrs. Andrews, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Hill, Stevenson, Wash.; a brother, Layton Pippin, Seligman; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Williams and Miss Goldie Pippin, both of Seligman, Mrs. Florence Steverson, Cassville, and Mrs. Bertha Galyen, Dallas, Tex; 20 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
