Text | Mrs. Catherine Pilant, who had been living in the vicinity of Cassville for a number of years, died Wednesday morning, April 15, 1914, from pneumonia. The deceased was born in Tennessee 67 years with her parents, the late Tillman and Elizabeth Edwards. For a number of years the family lived near Purdy where the deceased grew to womanhood. She was married to H. L. Pilant and to his marriage were born two children, Albert Pilant, who has been taking care of his mother, is the surviving member of the family. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Marion Roller and Miss Bell Edwards of near Purdy. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Pilant Cemetery where her body was laid to rest. The death of Mrs. Pilant removes an excellent citizen from our midst and her son and other immediate relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of their acquaintances. |
