| Text | Dorothy Phipps, 74, of Kansas City, died yesterday, May 2, in Kansas City. Mrs. Phipps was born April 11, 1927, in Verona, the daughter of Fred and Addie (Crouch) Carpenter. She was a retail sales clerk, a member of the First Christian Church in North Kansas City, and was active in Cub Scouting. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Young officiating. Burial will be in Calton Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, May 4, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. |
