Text | Frank L. Phillips was born Sept. 6, 1869 and died at his home one mile north of Wheaton, April 25, 1929 at the age of 59 years 7 months and 19 days. Mr. Phillips had been in poor health for some time and became worse when he had a stroke of paralysis a short time before he died. He was married to Mabel C. Allman, June 9, 1892. To this union three children were born, who are, Arthur Phillips, Mrs. James Sanders of Wheaton and Loy Phillips at home. Mr. Phillips was converted at the early age of twenty-three years and united with the Prosperity Baptist Church at Rocky Comfort, later transferring his membership to the Wheaton Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death. He is survived by his wife, three children, two grandchildren and one brother, John H. Phillips who lived in his home. Funeral services were conducted at the Wheaton Baptist Church Friday afternoon, April 26, by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt and burial made in the Muncie Cemetery under the direction of Pogue’s Undertaking. |
