Text | Joy Romulus Petty passed away Aug. 25, 2015, at the Idaho Veterans hospital in Boise Idaho. He was born Sept. 5, 1922, to Elsie and Isaac Petty in Barry County.
He served in WWII and was stationed in Guam. He returned to Ukiah, Calif., and married Alma Myers. He was pre-deceased by his sons, Harold Petty and Jimmy Petty, his parents, one brother and seven sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Rose and husband, Archie Dunsing, of New Plymouth, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Debra Brush, of Boise, Idaho; son, John Petty, of Cassville; two brothers, Ike Petty, of Sacramento Calif., and Vern Petty, and his wife, Lois, of Cassville; and one sister, Maxine Broan of Fairport, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. There will be graveside services in both Boise, Idaho, date and time to be determined, and at Mano Cemetery, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home. |
