Text | Janine Marie Casper Perry peacefully passed away in her sleep Saturday, January 18, 2014, at her home in Olympia, Washington.
She was born March 8, 1955, in Monett, Missouri. Her parents were Willard William George Casper and Francis Marion (Henderson) Casper, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children, Kevin and his wife, Breanna, of Murreitta, California; Jamin and his wife, Lindsey, of Columbia, Missouri; and her daughter, Kathleen, of Olympia, Washington. Her children were her greatest joy. Even though she had a responsible and time-consuming career as an RN, she always made her children her top priority. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother, and Girl Scout Leader. She was a doting grandmother, known as Oma, to Jeffrey, Isabella, Liam and Harper. She is also survived by her two sisters, Janeth Henbest and Judy Klinger, and her brother, Joe Casper. Janine grew up on the family farm in Purdy, Missouri, graduating from Purdy High School in 1973. She was a graduate of St. John's School of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri. Nursing was her passion, and she was an RN, CCRN at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, for 30 years. Much of that time was spent giving special care to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care unit. She loved helping not only per patients, but their families as well. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in the Stones Prairie community of Purdy, Missouri. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Freeman Foundation, Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. |
