Obit For Joel Young Perriman
Headline JOE PERRIMAN DIES FOLLOWING 2 OPERATIONS
Text Joel Young Perriman, prominent Jenkins citizen, died at the Ozark Hospital in Aurora, last Sunday following a second operation for a bowel ailment from which he has suffered for the past few months.

Mr. Perriman was born and raised in this county in the Jenkins country, where he has spent most of his life. He was a son of Wm. and Martha Perriman, highly respected and old time citizens of this county during their life time and was 56 years old.

He was born February 3, 1872 and was married to Mary Irby in the year 1892, to which one child was born which died in infancy.

In 1902 the deceased became a member of the Christian church and lived a clean, honorable Christian life.

He is survived by his good wife, one sister, Mrs. Peggy Potter, and two brothers, Earnest and Harry, both of Jenkins.

Funeral services were conducted at the family home Monday afternoon by Rev. G. G. Cottrell of Shell Knob, after which the remains were laid to rest in the King cemetery near the old home.

Mr. Perriman has been in business at Jenkins many years and operated the hotel there at the time of his death. His health had been failing for sometime and it was thought the operation would save him, but all efforts were in vain.

The Democrat joins the many friends and relatives of the deceased in extending sympathy in their sad hour of bereavement.
