Text | Aaron Lynn Pennell, 32, of Purdy, died yesterday, February 24, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Mr. Pennell was born August 5, 1969, in Monett. He was a 1987 graduate of Purdy High School, was a bull rider for 12 years with the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, and a steer wrestler for 10 years. He was a self-employed welder. He was a member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, and American Cowboy Rodeo Association. He attended Gunter Methodist Church. He married Carol Graham on December 31, 1992. Survivors include is father, of Purdy; his mother and step-father, of Rogers, Arkansas; his grandmother, of Purdy; and three sisters, of Purdy and of Rogers, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, at Gunter Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial will be in Gunter Cemetery east of Butterfield under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, February 26, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund or Cowboys for Christ. |
