| Text | Lester A. Pendergraft, 68, of Stark City, formerly of Washburn, died December 10 at his home. Mr. Pendergraft was born May 5, 1931, in Washburn, the son of John Thomas "Tom" and Laura Kathleen "Cassie" Fletcher Pendergraft. He spent most of his life in the Washburn and Butterfield areas and moved to Stark City a year ago. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Mt. Bible Church in Washburn. He married Pauline Tate on January 1, 1960. He was preceded in death by two sons in infancy, one daughter in infancy, two brothers, and one sister. Graveside services were 2 p.m. today, December 13, at Mountain Community Cemetery west of Washburn with Bill Banks officiating under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
