| Text | Verbal G. Pendergraft, 90, of Washburn, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at her home.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926, at Washburn, the daughter of Bent and Lona Elizabeth (Day) Dalton. On Jan. 15, 1941, at Cassville, she was united in marriage to Junior Pendergraft who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Deloris "Dee" Williams; three grandchildren; and one brother, Vern Dalton. Survivors include: two sons, Randy Pendergraft and Rodney Pendergraft both of Washburn; two daughters, Linda Bruton and her husband, Louie of Golden, and Peggy Writer and her husband, Rick of Butterfield; one sister, Norma Patterson of Washburn; 15 grandchildren including Daniel Pendergraft, whom they raised; 42 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. She was a life-long resident of Washburn, where she attended school. She was a member of Prairie Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Roller Cemetery at Washburn. |
