Text | Mrs. Muriel Payton, 53, died at 4:40 p.m. Monday at her home after an apparent heart attack. She had been ill several years.
Mrs. Payton was born Jan. 13, 1918, at Cassville and had lived in the area most of her life. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Payton, whom she married June 23, 1936; her father, Leverett Robbins, Exeter; five brothers, Gene Robbins, Cassville, Lucene Robbins and Leo Robbins, both of Ypsilanti, Mich., Lloyd Robbins, Atlanta, Ga., and Bill Robbins, Springfield, Mo., and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Scroggs, Exeter, Mrs. Neoma Garner, Ypsilanti, and Mrs. Frances McWhittier, Exeter. Burial was under the direction of the Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. |
