| Text | Willard Patton, 78, of Monett, died at 9:10 a.m. April 27 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Mr. Patton was born March 30, 1923, in Barry County, the son of Jim and Mary (Mitchell) Patton. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker. He married Ruth Moudy on September 24, 1946, in Carthage, and she preceded him in death November 24, 1992. Survivors include one son, of Purdy; one daughter, of Cassville; one brother, of Verona; two sisters, of Purdy; and three grandchildren. Services were 10 a.m. today, April 30, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Darrel Swearengin officiating. Burial was in Russell Cemetery in Butterfield under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Memorials may be made to the cemetery. |
