Dow and family moved to El Reno Okla., September 24, 1923 where they resided until her death, August 26, 1929. She died at the age of 35 years, 6 months and 10 days. She never united with any church, but always looked forward as her Savior and the guiding spirit of her life. She underwent an operation at the Cato Hospital, El Reno, Okla., August 23, 1929 and it was thought she was improving until blood poisoning suddenly developed after which she lived a few hours. Besides her husband and children she is survived by her father, W. M. Nicely, three brothers and two sisters; Dole, Sob, Len, Dell and Flora, all of whom live in Missouri. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, August 28, at the Rocky Comfort Baptist church by Gid Strickland and the body laid to rest in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery under the direction of the Belka and Wessell Funeral Home of Wheaton. |
