Text | Wilma B. Parmalee, 80, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Pierce City and Mt. Vernon, died July 10 at the Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, Kansas. Mrs. Parmalee was born March 17, 1919, in Pierce City. She had lived in Mt. Vernon from 1953 to 1993. She had been a bookkeeper for MFA for 20 years, retiring in 1982, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Mt. Vernon. She was married to Charles A. Parmalee, and he preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include one son, of Kansas City, Kansas; one daughter, of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, of Joplin; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services were 10 a.m. today, July 12, at Porter Chapel in Kansas City, Kansas. Graveside services were 3 p.m. today at Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home of Kansas City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. |
