| Text | David M. Parks, 70, of rural Monett, died at 5:40 p.m. yesterday, December 3, at Monett Health Care Center. Mr. Parks was born March 15, 1930, in Allen County, Kansas, the son of Ollie and Becky Lee Parks. He retired in 1968 from Hughes Air Craft Company in the state of California. He moved to Monett in 1987. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He married Ethel (Britt) Parks on December 21, 1953, in Iola, Kansas. Additional survivors include one son, one daughter, one brother, one sister, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services and burial will be in Iola, Kansas, under the direction of Waugh, Yokum and Frishel Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
