Obit For Cobern Palmer
Headline FARMER STRICKEN IN WAGON WHILE FEEDING HIS STOCK
Text Cobern Palmer, prominent farmer residing on the old Len Collins farm, near old Flat Creek, died at his home last Friday night following an attack which stuck him as he was standing in his wagon throwing our feed to his stock.

Early in the morning Mr. Palmer had left his home, accompanying some men to the woods, to direct them about some wood cutting. After being gone several hours, his wife became alarmed and a search was immediately started, the school children of that direct being included in the search.

After searching his and adjoining farms he was found in his wagon in the barn lot in an unconscious condition. He was removed to the home and passed away that evening, never regaining consciousness. He was thought to have suffered a stroke of apoplexy while throwing feed out of his wagon to his stock in his barn lot.

The deceased was a splendid citizen and was about 60 years old. He leaves his good wife to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were conducted at the Carney Baptist church Sunday afternoon, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place. A large number of sorrowing friends attuned the service.
