Text Sue Evelyn Painter, 66, Strafford, passed away Sunday October 11, 2015.

She was born June 30, 1949 in Barry County, Missouri to John "Lowell" and Esther "Geneva" (German) Painter.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Doris Reed, Virgie Parsons, Dorance "Don" Painter, Bruce Painter (infant), Beverly Matthews; nephews, Russell Matthews, Bruce Painter, and Philip Painter; and niece, Paula Cole.

She is survived by her children, SueZanne Lakin, William "Bill" VanTwuyver, IV (Shannon), Trinity VanTwuyver, and Valerie Blankenship (Bobby); grandchildren, William Groom, Elijah Blankenship, Chance Blankenship, Jackie VanTwuyver, and Jesse VanTwuyver; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 16, 2015 in First Baptist Church in Exeter, Missouri, 102 Cass Ave. under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut in Springfield. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday October 15, 2015 in the church.

She was the youngest daughter of J. L. Painter and Esther Geneva Painter. She was raised in Thomas Hollow and lived in Exeter for many years. We know many people in the area knew my mother and I figured that this was the best way to share with those who are not family that might want to pay their respects to her."
