Text | Funeral services for Sgt. Norman Painter, 7th Division, 17th Infantry Co. C. of the United States Army will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Culver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. William Brannon, Pastor of the Cassville Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter. Military services will be conducted by the Jenkins V.F.W. Post. Sgt. Painter’s body will arrive at Exeter, September 15th. He was 23 years old at the time he was killed in Korea, February 28th, 1951. Surviving are his parents, Mrs. & Mrs. William Painter of Cassville, four brothers, Floyd Painter, Camp Eustis, Norfolk, Virginia; Bill Painter, who is in Japan, Paul and Shane of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Benton Crim of Springfield; Mrs. Leon Weathers, Wichita, Kan.; Esther and Martha of the home.
