| Text | Bessie Aldonna Poe-Painter passed away in Kansas City on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
She was born on June 19, 1931, in McDonald County, the daughter of Phillip Sheridan "Sherd" Bailey and Bessie Marie (Day) Bailey. She was raised in the Ridgely area in Barry County. Survivors include: her son, J.R. Poe, of Jefferson City, and her brother, Lillard "Tudie" Bailey, of Neosho; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and six brothers. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under the direction of McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, Kansas City. |
