| Text | Helen Lucy Packwood, 87, of Wheaton, died August 15 at the home of her daughter in Exeter. Mrs. Packwood was born February 8, 1912, in Eagle Rock, the daughter of Lewis and Julie (Larcey) Smith. She was educated in Barry County, was a homemaker, and a lifelong Barry County resident. She married Clovis George Packwood in 1930, and he preceded her in death August 22, 1960. Survivors include two sons, Verdain Packwood of Wheaton and Harold Packwood of Exeter; two daughters, Imogene Caywood of Exeter and Betty Kaiser of Centerton, Arkansas; one sister, Juanita Bratton of Ridgley; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, August 18, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, August 17, at the funeral home. Research Note: Name is Larecy and not Larcey as given. |
