Text | Marshall John Ozburn was born March 9, 1907 and departed this life Jan. 15th, 1929 at his home one and a half mile northeast of McDowell. He was 21 years, 9 months and 6 days old. He was first stricken with the flu, but was improving when he was taken with appendicitis. He was operated on and everything that loving hands could do was done, but in the early morning hour his spirit took its fight. During his sickness he was patient and always had a smile for everyone, and was hopeful for his recovery until just a little while before the end came. He told his companion to raise the babies right and to meet him. He was united in marriage to Miss Kathryn Riter May 25, 1925. Two this union were born two children, one daughter and one son. Those left to mourn his passing are his loving wife and two children, his father. H. Ozburn and three brothers. Funeral services were held at the Bethel church conducted by T.L. Bennett of Cassville a friend of the family, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Bethel cemetery to await the resurrection morn. - Contributed.
