| Text | Iolene Joyce Owens, 70, of Monett, died at 2:05 a.m. today, August 30, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield following a brief illness. Mrs. Owens was born May 5, 1930, in Monett, the daughter of Morris and Mary Elizabeth Isbell Coatney. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett. She married Dean Lombard in November of 1946. She later married Bob Owens in 1969 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Powell in July of 1985. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 1, at the funeral home |
