| Text | Betty Jo Overton, 75, of Springdale died Nov. 25, 1998, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Dec. 29, 1922, at Grove, Okla., to Homer Conway and Anna Goldsborough Dummitt. She was a plant supervisor for Steele Canning Co. until she retired in 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward "Cokey" Overton, Jr. in 1983 and one granddaughter. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law; one granddaughter. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. David Orr and the Rev. Burton A. Miley officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 376, Springdale, 72765.
