Text | Mary Jane Noe died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Holmes, in Springfield, July 6 of a sudden and unexpected heart attack. She was 80 years, 4 months and 18 days old. Mrs. Noe was born near Louisville, Ky., on February 17, 1865 and was a daughter of Daniel and Louica Edens. She was united in marriage to Charles G. Noe, November 9, 1885, who preceded her in death eight years ago. Four children, Mrs. John Painter and Mrs. Roy Senseney of Exeter, Mrs. Wayne Cole of Exeter and Mrs. John Holmes of Springfield, survive. A son, Lee Noe, preceded her in death. Two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Elam and Mrs. Laura Freeman of Tulsa, with 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, survive together with a host of other relatives and friends. She was converted and joined the Baptist Church at an early age and lived a consistent Christian life. Funeral services were held at the Exeter Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Charles Vanzandt. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Culver Funeral Service.
