| Text | Jewell Inez Nickle, age 91, of rural Purdy, died at 3:15 p.m. September 25 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. Mrs. Nickle was born January 21, 1908, in Purdy, the daughter of Adam Franklin and Myrtle Fanie (Adams) Prier. She was a lifelong Purdy resident, a homemaker, a retired Avon salesman, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Purdy. She married James Carman Nickle on December 6, 1924, in Purdy, and he preceded her in death August 29, 1955. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Audrey Prier, Hershel Prier, Orville Prier, and Roscoe Prier; and two sisters, Lola Henderson and Ada Whittington. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Butterfield with Rev. Tony Martin officiating under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, September 28, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. |
