Text | Mary (Hewig) McFarland was born in Waldo, Kan., May 5, 1902 and passed away at the home of her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. McFarland, near Cassville, Jan. 21, 1930. She came to Cassville when she was eleven years old and made her home with Mr. and Mrs. McFarland. She was married to Jack Neeley April 19th, 1925. To this union were born three children, Norma Arlene, age 4 Jack Leon, who passed away a year ago, and Frances Imogene, born Nov. 19, 1929. She leaves to mourn beside her husband and children, her mother, Mrs. Daniels of Norman, Okla., one brother, Bert and two sisters Daisy and Gladys, all of Webb City. Three half brothers of Norman Okla., and her foster parents Mr. and Mrs. N. L. McFarland. Faithful and true she was loved by all who knew her. She was a kind loving wife, mother and daughter. She possessed many excellent traits of character that have made the world better by her having lived. The tenderly solemn and consoling funeral service was conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. McFarland Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock by Rev. W. T. Ward, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Horner cemetery under direction of Horine’s Funeral Service.
