Text | Edith Lucille Neeley, 87, of Cassville, died April 22 at Willard Care Center. Mrs. Neeley was born July 29, 1919, in Cassville, and was a daughter of Roy and Faye (Garner) Newman. She worked as a pharmacist clerk at McShane's Drug and Corner Pharmacy in Monett until 1957. She was the college women's dormitory counselor at School of the Ozarks in 1957-58. She then worked for Crank Drug Company in Springfield and retired to Cassville in 1977. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville. She married Joe Neeley on December 24, 1935, in Neosho, and he preceded her in death March 11, 1994. Survivors include one son, three daughters, one sister, Frances Rowley of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Wilber, Rayburn, and Earl; and one sister, Louise. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville with Rev. Bob Neeley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
