| Text | Carol M. McMillen, 70, of Aurora, MO, entered into eternal peace while at her home on February 9, 2006. She fought a valiant battle of cancer. She was born April 13, 1935 in Purdy, MO to Boyd and Mable Ghan. Carol owned and operated a beauty shop in the Kansas City, MO area for years before moving to Wheaton, MO in 1967. She later owned a dress shop in Wheaton and in the early 80's was the first woman to own and operate a turkey farm. She was Past Worthy Matron for the Order of the Eastern Star and a current member of the Esther Chapter of the Eastern Star in Aurora, MO. She was a very active and dedicated member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, always willing to help the church whenever called upon. She married Robert McMillen August 1, 2000. Survivors include one brother, one daughter, one son, one step son, two granddaughters, three grandsons, two step-grandsons, a nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Marjorie Lee, and one sister, Betty June. Services will be 1 p.m. at the Aurora United Methodist Church Monday, February 13, 2006 with interment at the Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton, MO. |
