Text | Isaac Marion McGlothin was born near Rocky Comfort September 1, 1860. He passed away at his home in Exeter April 7, 1943. He was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Isaac McGlothin. He was united in marriage to Tennessee Stamps and to this union 2 children were born, Burly McGlothin of Clayton, Ind. & Mrs. Peal Hurd of Denver, Colorado. He wife preceded him in death and later he was united in marriage to Annie Erwin and to this union 2 daughters were born, Mrs. Rose Smith of Indianapolis, Ind., and Miss Ova McGlothin of the home, who has tenderly cared for her father during his declining years. About forty years ago, he professed faith in Christ and united with the Prosperity Baptist Church at Rocky Comfort. He is survived by his children one half brother, Noah Davidson of Fairview and other relatives and friends, His wife preceded him in death 13 years ago. Funeral service were held at the home on Friday afternoon, April 9 by Rev. C. F. Silver assisted by Rev. Chas Vanzandt, Soloist Rev. Murry of Cassville, sang with Mrs. Charlene Jeffries at the piano. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter with Culver Funeral Service in charge. Paul bears were Frank Cox, Noah Erwin, E. L. Smithson, Vernon Erwin, a nephew, Arthur McGlothin and half brother Noah Davidson. |
