| Text | Andrew McClothlin died at the home of his nephew, A. McGlothlin, near Wheaton Feb. 14, age 89 years. He came to Barry county with the family of Nathaniel Meador from Summer county, Tennessee in 1847 and settled on the Washburn prairie, and has been a citizen of the county since that time except a short time spent in California. McGlothlin was a highly respected citizen but on account of his secluded habits was not widely known in the county. He leaves no family. Research Note: Barry County Web site.
