Text | Lee Roy McCracken, 86, of Monett, died May 22 at
Monett Health Care Center. Mr. McCracken was born April 1, 1916, in Barry County, the son of Ira and Nila Garrison McCracken. He was a farmer and was employed as an automobile transporter for an auction company in St. Louis before retiring. He moved back to Barry County in 1991. He was a member of Solid Rock Church. He married Louise Harader, and she preceded him in death. He married Esther Boyer. Additional survivors include five sons, four daughters, one brother, 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Haught; one son, Roy McCracken; and four brothers, Nolan McCracken, Norman McCracken; Bill McCracken; and Gerald McCracken. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, May 25, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Brother Steve Higgs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 24, at the funeral home. |
