| Text | Mrs. Nadine McMillen, 90, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 6, 1915 in Eagle Rock, Missouri, the daughter of the late Jeff and Minnie (Haddock) Thompson. She was united in marriage to Verlon Pryor. He passed away May 23, 1959. She then was united in marriage to Oren McMillen. He also preceded her in death May 13, 1966. She is survived by one son: James "Jim" Pryor, of Nixa, Missouri; one daughter: Darlene Shelley, of Nixa, Missouri; special friend and son: Alvin J. Pryor, of Cassville, Missouri; one step-son: Oren Ford McMillen, of Granby, Missouri; one brother: Gerald Thompson of Eagle Rock, Missouri; one sister: Ruth Sherman, of Anderson, Missouri; four grandchildren: Steven, Jamie, Renee, and Jade; and one great-grandchild: Edward James. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri, with Rev. Ronnie Fieker, Rev. Jerry Francisco and Rev. Gerald Pugh officiating. Burial will be in the Sparks Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri. Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2009 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri. |
