Text | Allen Cordell McIntosh died in Langley Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 22nd. Born in Purdy, Missouri, U.S.A. on Dec. 4th. He was 96 years of age. A retired mixed farmer, Mr. McIntosh lived in Langley since 1946. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene. He leaves to mourn his passing 3 daughters and 4 sons; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; a brother Walter, and two sisters, Bessie and Noreen. Mr. McIntosh was predeceased by his wife in 1974. Funeral service will be held at the chapel of Henderson's Langley Funeral Home on Friday, May 25th, at 11 a.m., Pastor Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Langley Cemetery. Research Note: Allen's parents were James and Fannie (Fowler) McIntosh. His wife was Jennie Depriest who he married in 1908 at Butterfield, Barry Co., MO. Five of his children were born in Barry Co. and two in Saskatchewan. Allen moved to the Spiritwood area of Saskatchewan in 1919 to take advantage of the inexpensive farmland. |
