Obit For Lauressa M. (Whisler) McClure
Headline OBITUARY
Text Luressa M. Whisler born June 16, 1859. Died October 3, 1927, making her life 68 years, 3 months and 17 days.

She was born in Jackson county, Ill., where she grew to woman hood. She married to Henry W. McCluer at Murphysboro, Ill., Nov. 16, 1878. To this union two children were born after which the family move to Kansas where they resided until 1887 when they came to Missouri where they resided until death. Their home being within the vicinity of Mineral springs all the time. Seven children were born to this union, all of whom survived.

All of the children were present when the end came except the oldest boy, Irwin, who lives in Portland, Oregon. The other children are: Mrs. Ida Sisney of Monett, B.C. McCluer of Mineralsprings, H.C. of Green Forest, Ark. Roy of Mineral Springs, Mrs. Edna Baker of Exeter, and Homer at home. Beside the children, 18 grandchildren, three brothers, three half-sisters, a number of nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends mourn her passing. Her companion having preceded her in death four years ago. Her death was due to valvular heart trouble.

Mrs. McCluer was converted at a early age and lived consistently in the faith of the Baptist church. She was a zealous S. S. worker. She was devoted to her home and family. A kind and loving friend and neighbor always ready to help in time of trouble.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. M. Henson of Purdy were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct 4, at the church at Mineral Springs and interment made in the cemetery at the church under direction of Horine Funeral Service.
