Text | Robert A. Mutrux, 75, of Wheaton, died March 28 at Hillcrest Specialty ICU in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Mutrux was born November 5, 1926, in Cassville, the son of Harold and Effie Mae (Hankins) Mutrux. He was a graduate of Wheaton High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Missouri. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a veterinarian for 45 years. He served on the board of directors for Mercantile Bank of Wheaton, United States Department of Agriculture, Missouri Veterinarian Association, Missouri State Deputy Veterinarian, and Barry County Health Department. Survivors include one son, of Miami, Florida; one daughter, of Springfield; one brother, of Springfield; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lynn Mutrux, Leland Mutrux, and Leverne Mutrux. Services were 1 p.m. today, April 1, at McQueen Chapel in Wheaton with Rev. Richard Buck officiating. Burial was in Rocky Comfort Cemetery under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton. Memorials may be made to the Rocky Comfort Cemetery or Union Cemetery. |
