Obit For Minnie May (Reasor) Moore
Headline OBITUARY
Text Minnie May Reasor was born Oct. 31, 1873 near Pioneer in Barry County, Mo. She departed this life Aug. 24, 1922 at Alba, Mo. Her self sacrifice and devotion to others began early for at the age of ten and the oldest of six children left motherless, she took over many of the cares and responsibilities, devolving upon her father in the rearing of the tiny twin brothers and the other children.

She began teaching at an early age and taught twelve terms, then seeing the need of a better education, she went to Marrionville College, now known as Ozark Wesleyan College and graduated in 1903. Afterwards she taught 3 terms making fifteen terms in all. She won the respect and love of all her students and patrons and many still live to love her.

She was converted at the age of fifteen and immediately identified herself with the Methodist Episcopal church. Some years later she entered into the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ. Always devoted to her master's service she was planning to become a deaconess when she met Rev. F. O. Moore and was persuaded that a Methodist Minister's wife has as great a field of Christian service. They were married June 27, 1906. An infant daughter who tarried only a few brief hours blessed this union.

Mrs. Moore was one of the first women of the St. Louis Conference to be licensed to preach and third in the whole denomination and was studying to complete the course in order that she might render more effective service.

Minnie Moore will be long remembered and loved, particularly by the women and children in all the charges in which she labored.

She leaves a husband, father and mother, four brothers, one sister besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure.
