| Text - Outline | Lona LaNette Moore, age 53, of Jenkins, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009, in St. John’s Regional Health Center, Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 18, 1956, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Clyde and Dorothy (Kennedy) Sams. In March, 1989, in California, she was united in marriage to Greg Moore, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by three sons, of Springfield, Missouri, and his wife, of Purdy, Missouri and of Aurora, Missouri; one brother, and his wife, of Jenkins; four sisters, of LeAnn, Missouri, and her husband, of Lees Summit, Missouri, and her husband, of LeAnn and and her husband, of El Dorado, Arkansas and one grandson. Lona LaNette moved to Missouri at a young age, attending elementary school at Jenkins. She then attended Cassville High School, graduating in 1975. For a few years she resided in California and was employed with Natel Laboratories in Simi Valley. She returned to Missouri several years ago to make her home. She was a member of Shiloah Baptist Church, Jenkins. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, swimming, fishing and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 5, 2009, in Clio Cemetery, Jenkins. Pastor David Eaton will conduct the services.
