Text - Outline | Cora Mable Moore, age 97, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009, in Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation, Cassville. She was born June 12, 1912, in Eagle Rock, Missouri, the daughter of Elsie and Annie (Haddock) Cassity. On February 10, 1934, she was united in marriage to Harry Douglas Moore, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1983. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Rhoma and Loren Cassity and four sisters, Bertha Moore, Dorothy Cantrell, Mamie Brattin and Louella Scott. She is survived by two sons, Robert Moore and his wife, Connie of Cassville and Bill Moore and his wife, RoxAnn of Exeter, Missouri; two daughters, Colleen Mills and her husband, Bob of Monett, Missouri and Jeannie Butler and her husband Larry of Fairview, Missouri; one brother, Frank Cassity of Billings, Montana; one half-brother, Alvah Cassity of Purdy, Missouri; one sister, Virgie Brattin of Petaluma, California; six grandchildren, Robin Cooper and her husband, Steve; Tracy Lowe and her husband, J.D.; Annette Arnold and her husband, Dale; Laura Ray and her husband, Tommy; Kristi Dunlop and Korrie Bateman and her husband, Jeff; two step-grandchildren, Lisa Kagy and her husband, Rick and Robert D. Mills, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Robbie Cooper, Audrey Lowe, Melissa and Amber Arnold and Kayla Dunlop and three step-great grandchildren, Conner, Nicholas and Louis Kagy. Cora received her education at House schoolhouse outside of Cassville. She was a life-long resident of this area. Some of her favorite pastimes were quilting and sewing. She was saved at Antioch Baptist Church and baptized on October 18, 1925. She was a member of Calvery Baptist Church, Exeter. Being a preacher’s wife, she was involved in many activities at various churches throughout this area. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services. |
