Text | Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Denbo went to Washburn Monday to attend the funeral of the latter's brother, Pat Mooney.
Died Monday at Washburn, 16 year old Pat Mooney, son of John Mooney. Believed to have been injured jumping from a train. A sister is Mrs. W. T. Denbo. Research Note: Patrick Mooney born Feb. 2, 1882 Washburn, Barry Co., MO died July 12, 1897, Washburn, Barry Co., MO, son of John and Bitty Mooney. The funeral must have been the same day as the death. Mentioned here is Wesley Talbert Denbo and he was born 1860 and died 1930. He married second, Jennie Mooney, Feb. 16, 1896. According to the cemetery marker, his wife, Ida Edens, born 1872 died in 1895 [of consumption]. They are buried at Washburn Prairie Cemetery. Patrick Mooney was the son of John or Shawn was the brother of T. P. Mooney. Wesley T. Denbo was living in Joplin in 1920 and 1930 but had no wife. He married Jennie Mooney Feb. 16, 1896 in Barry County, MO. Jennie was living in Miami, OK in 1900 and stated that she came to the US in 1884. |
