Text | Pliny Roland Moffatt was born in Myra, Wisconsin, August 25, 1868, passed away to his eternal rest from his home in, April 23, 1934 at the age of 65 years, eight months and one day. Bro. Moffatt was united in marriage to Della C. Walker, February 23, 1890 and to this union were born ten children, one preceding the father in infancy. Bro. Moffatt was converted when a young man and united with the Methodist Episcopal church in Washburn, and a member of Methodist Episcopal church in Hominy, Okla. Bro. Moffatt was a member of the Barry Lodge A. F. & A. M. 367 in Washburn, Missouri. He is survived by a loving wife, Mrs. Della Moffatt and 4 sons; Frank of Tulsa, Okla.; Fred of Arp, Texas; Boyd of Oklahoma City; Heath of Hominy, Okla.; and five daughters, Mrs. Helen Dalton, Begman, Nebr.; Mrs. Ruth Yerion, Winchester, Ill.; Lois, Madge, and Norma of Hominy, Okla. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 28, 1934, at the First Methodist Episcopal church by the Pastor, Rev. H. D. Tomlin. Interment in Washburn Prairie cemetery, with the Masonic Lodges of Washburn, Cassville and Seligman having the services, Rev. H. D. Tomlin assisting. Research notes: Barry Co.
