Text | Levi Spencer Mills, 73, resident of Ogden the past few years, was found dead in his bed in his room at 320 Twenty-third Street Tuesday evening, having passed away in his sleep. He had been employed as a watchman at the Eccies building. He was born Sept. 1, 1869, in Iowa. He was educated in MO, and KS. His first marriage was to Margaret Randolph, in Cassville, MO., in 1894, she died there in 1899. He married Mrs. Millie Elkins in Alva, OK, in 1918, she died in 1940. Shortly after the death of his second wife he came to Ogden to be with his daughter, Mrs. Harold L. Olson. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Utah Assoc. of the Blind. Other survivors besides Mrs. Olson, are two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Clara Gregory, Kansas City MO., Mrs. Lydia Wiseley and David Mills, both of Cassville, MO., a step son and three step-daughters residing in OK and TX, one grandson and two great-grandsons. The body will be shipped to Monett, MO, for services and burial. Kirkendail-Daring mortuary is in charge of arrangements. |
