Text Dorothy (Grandma Dorothy) Miller, age 83, of Purdy, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. She was born April 8, 1923 in Barry County, and was a daughter of the late Denver and Minnie (Carpenter) Inmon.

She was a foster grandparent for the Purdy Schools.

She was first married to Gerald Terry on Sept. 14, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1949. She then married Loyd Hobbs on Oct. 17, 1950, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1982. She later married Douglas Miller on April 26, 1986, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Jo Hobbs and two sisters, Helen Head and Wilma Larkin.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett with Rev. Jerry Williams and Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Butterfield. Arrangements were under directions of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home.
