Text | Services for Raymond William Metcalf, 71, Neosho route 4, who was found dead Monday in his truck at Hawthorne Park in Neosho were held Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Williams and the Rev. L.D. Sowder officiated. Burial was in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery. Death was ruled due to an apparent heart attack suffered a few hours earlier, according to Sheriff Joe Abramovitz. Mr. Metcalf was born April 29, 1910 in McDonald County, and was a lifetime area resident. He was a retired mechanic and a member of the First Baptist Chruch in Neosho. Surviving are four daughters; two sisters; his stepmother, Mrs. Emma Metcalf, Granby, nine grandchilren, and nine greatgrandchildren. Research notes: Raymond W. married Eulah Faye (Polk) on June 6, 1933 in Newton Co., MO. She died in Neosho on Oct 17, 1974 and is also buried in Rocky. |
